Post Marathon Food

After an exhausting long distance run, normally you don’t take too much solid food. For my case, it will lead to diarrhea and vomiting. Mr. Wacky is having Garlic Bread and Milko (milk + milo) while watching his favorite discovery channel.

Went to Choice Daily supermart to get some isotonic drink after a tiring 3 miles run yesterday evening. But the big V8 Juice can is just too delicious to ignore when I saw it sitting on the supermarket shelf, so without hesitation.. bought it and gulped 1/3 of it in one go..

Dinner after 15km

January 15, 2008 · Leave a Comment

At the final round of my 15km run, I can’t think of any other things except foods… lots of them, circling my head as I try to push on. After the run, I got my well deserved meal at Hartz Chicken, Kuching Plaza. It’s a ‘eat till you vomit drop’ type of buffet, however due to my exhaustion, can only managed to zip in few dish.

My V8 Power …

November 21, 2007 · 2 Comments

One of my favorites of all times that helps to keep me healthy. Yes, it comes in a concentrated liquid rather than the raw vege-fruit-tal means. This is the winzip version of your daily green intakes, and it is simply too delicious to ignore !!!

Growing up you may have been told to eat your greens, but what about your reds, oranges, yellows, whites and blues? The more different colored fruits and vegetables you eat, the more different health promoting properties you are getting. Eating a wide range of colorful vegetables and fruit provides essential vitamins, minerals, fiber and phytonutrients (plant-nutrients) that your body needs to promote good health!

V8 ® 100% Vegetable Juice provides vegetable juices from the following major color groups:

  • Red GROUP—tomatoes and beets – provides powerful, natural antioxidants. The antioxidant Lycopene is found naturally in tomatoes, and helps protect against cell damage.
  • Orange GROUP—carrots — delivers vitamin A (alpha— and beta—carotene) to help maintain vision and a healthy immune system.
  • Green GROUP—V8® provides a sampling from this group of spinach, celery, lettuce, parsley, and watercress — when consumed in sufficient quantities, it helps round out your diet with other vitamins, minerals, and natural antioxidants.”
